Leeds Library Service Tablet Lending Scheme

Are you a Leeds based organisation working with digitally excluded people?

Leeds Libraries' tablet lending scheme aims to bridge the gap between those online and offline.

An estimated 90,000 people in Leeds lack basic digital skills. This may mean that they lack internet access, motivation, or the skills and confidence to get online. Some may have access to a computer or device, but use it in a limited way.

Our tablet lending scheme aims to show people the positive changes that can be made to their lives from being online.

We know that helping non-users and limited users to become digitally included will bring wider social benefits: helping them to be better informed; more confident using online tools; feeling more independent and less isolated.
